Renovation of a former dining hall was part of a four-year phased revitalization of Stouffer Commons. Sensitive to the special physical and educational requirements of students served by the center, CDA&I selected finishes, materials and furniture to maximize privacy and create a warm, professional aesthetic. The design reinforces the university’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility in the academic environment.
With creativity and talent, the architects transformed a former dining hall into the University’s Learning Resources Center, matching the vision of its donors, staff, and students. Today, there is a bright, highly functional learning center that enhances the work of both students and University staff.Myrna L. Cohen, Ph.D. Director, Weingarten Learning Resources Center
