As Phase III of a full building revitalization, a new unified lobby area serves multiple student user groups. Detailed programming, code, and ADA accessibility issues were investigated. The new vertical core unifies three floors while providing handicapped accessibility and emergency egress. Comprehensive interior design included new lighting, flooring, stair railings, and reception desk.
Architecture at its finest is how I describe the design recently completed by CDA&I at the University of Pennsylvania's Stouffer Commons. CDA&I's unique and original approach to design coupled with their knowledge of the higher education environment and extraordinary level of customer service was tremendous. It was my pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with CDA&I and look forward to it again in the future.Dave Dunn, Project Manager, UPenn Department of Design & Construction
